Anniversary

Today marks Matt & Casey's third year anniversary. Five years ago Matt proposed to the love of his life, Casey Hepp! Casey said yes to his proposal! He married the love of his life October 30, 2010, built a home for his wife and had a beautiful son, Myles! Matt knew he was having a son before he died and he helped name him! Since Matt has passed I believe he is here all around us! In many different ways different people in our family have felt him near! A few months had passed by since Matt had died. I finally felt like trying to go through the box of pictures and stuff we had taken to the funeral home that night. I sat down and found a beautiful poem my sister had frame for the funeral home. On the frame was a small blue dragonfly. A few days later I was walking in our garage and heading into the house. All of a sudden a blue dragonfly was buzzing in my ear and landed on my shoulder. I thought, "that darn dragonfly was trying to get in the house with me!" Then for some reason I thought of the poem my sister, Shelly frame about love ones and death. I know it is silly but I thought this is Matt being with me and wanting to go in the house with me!. I felt a sudden calming feeling that Matt was around me! The next time I had an encounter with a blue dragonfly was up north with my family. We were out swimming in the lake and a small blue dragonfly was constantly landing me or one of my sisters. Again I felt a calming feeling and knew Matt came to spend time with the family!! The next encounter with a blue dragonfly was at Jenny's wedding! It was a beautiful day at Watertown park on the island. Jenny married the love of her life! It was a perfect day! I was filled with joy for Jenny and Mike starting their life together. All of a sudden during their vows a blue dragonfly landed on the back train of Jenny's dress and stayed there through their vows! It gave me that same calming feeling that Matt came to Jenny's wedding! The next encounter was outside while playing with Myles on the swing set. He was swinging and having a great time when a blue dragonfly decide to join us and hang around for a while! I truly believe that Matt has been hanging around the family, Casey and Myles! A few times while holding Myles when he was smaller Myles was looking and at me as I held him and talked to him as a baby. Once in a while he would look over my shoulder and be talking with someone else. Myles and I were the only ones home at the time. Just recently I put Myles to bed. He played for a while like he usually does. All of a sudden I was watching on the monitor I heard him say "Hi". Then he babbled for about half hour. I was watching him on the screen. Then all of a sudden he put up his arm and waved and said, "bye bye." I believe that his Daddy came and spent time with him! Matt has "come to other family members too". He was playing cars with cousin, Luke when he was 5 Years old. Aunt Teresee asked him who he was talking to and he said Matt came and played cars with him! On this special day Casey and our family are missing Matt so much! For his short life he has touched and continues to touch so many people! I miss his smile and his hugs!! I am so fortunate to be able to watch Myles three days a week! He has his dad's handsome looks and lots of his mannerisms! Matt we love you and miss you so much!! We will NEVER forget you! You are always in our hearts! I think of you every day! Many, Many, Many times a day you are on my mind! Death might end a life but not a relationship!
