Growing like a weed!!

Myles has been doing great!  He has been sleeping through the night for about a month.
He smiles and trys very hard to talk to you.  He has been stretching out his body and almost rolling over!!  Myles has been a joy to watch during the days.

He does let you know when he is hungry and you are not getting his food fast enough!!

Myles most current picture.  Myles is laying on a blanket made out of his Dad's polo shirts.  His great Aunt Shelly and his Grandma Kitty's best friend Mary made the blanket for Grandma Kitty so Myles and all of Matt's niece's and nephews can
wrap up in.  Myles is also playing with his Dad's Taz.  What a cute kid!!!!

Here is Myles with his Godfather, Uncle Nate and his cousin Zane.  Zane is
16 days younger than Myles.  Uncle Nate is having a great time with his
nephews!!

Myles just hanging out and learning to sit and strenghten his neck muscles!
He is doing a great job of this!  He is a very strong kid!

Myles being a "Cool Dude".  Grandma Kitty getting carried away with
taking pictures!

Christine with Gavin and Zane.  Becky with Emily and Casey with Myles.
I am privilege enough to be able to babysit all of them on Wednesdays,
Thursday and Fridays!  They keep me young and tired!!  I enjoy every
minute of my time with my grandchilddren!!

At Myles 3 month check up he was 12 lbs 8 oz!  Tomorrow Myles
goes for his 4 month check up.  I am guessing he is going to be over
14 lbs!!

I believe and sense that Matt is around Myles all the time.  I thank
God every day for a healthy Grandson's.  I am very forunate to have 3
grandson and they are all healthy.  Emily is my Niece's little girl but since
the others call me Grandma, Becky thought it would be easier for her
to call me Grandma too!  I have no problem with that!

Happy Anniversary, Happy Halloween

October 30, 2012 was a little difficult to get through.  This would have been Matt and Casey's second wedding anniversary. Instead had to visit Matt's grave site.  Myles has been a blessing!  He looks so much
like his Dad!  He tends to have some of his Dad's habits.  He is a great tooter!!!

Myles went trick or treating with his cousins, Gavin and Zane.  Gavin was Vat in the Hat and Myles was Thing 1 and Zane was Thing 2.  They all went to visit Myles other cousin Colby.

Today Myles went to his cousin's Zane Baptism.  Casey is God Mother for Zane.  Myles decided during middle of church to fill his diaper.  He smells like his Dad too!!

Headstone

Casey has done amazing job on Matt's headstone!  I could not have imagine that they can draw pictures and then engrave them on a headstone.  The picture looks just like Matt and his car looks great also!  Such details they can do, just amazing!!

It was raining the day I took the pictures so on the words on the back some of the letters are a little wet but the words are perfect!  I thought the sayings she picked out were spot on.  I really miss my son but we love having little Myles to remind us of him every day!!

God has taken Matt in body but his spirit lives on in all of us!  God please watch over Matt's family as
we all try to deal with missing Matt in our own ways!

Myle's Baptism

Myles was baptized on September 30, 2012 at St..Paul's Lutheran Church.  Myles joined the Church of the Lord today. What a great day.  The weather was beautiful! What a great day to Join the Lords family.

For Your Baptism

You're taking this step of faith
In obedience to the Lord,
To be baptized in His precious name
And heed the Master's call

To rise up with faith in God
And go where He may lead
To share God's love to everyone
And touch them in their need

May God pour out His blessings
Upon your life today
So you may walk in His abundance
As you commit to Him your way

Keep on trusting in the Lord
No matter what you face
And keep your eyes on Jesus Christ
And live in His sweet grace.

This poem is a great example of  how Matt lived his life!  May Myles be as blessed by the Lord!  Here are a few pictures of Myles special day.

Poems -Unbreakable Hero, Do No Be Afraid My Son

One of Matt's friends, Shawn K  have written a few poems about him.  He said it was okay to share it
with everyone.

Do Not Be Afraid My Son

Do not be afraid my son,

The day is shinning bright,

Do not be afraid my son,

The night has succumbed to light

Do not be afraid my son

Your broken heart will heal

Do not be afraid my son

The lumps and bumps I feel

Do not be afraid my son

The cancer is good and gone,

Do not be afraid my son

The lumps and bumps aren’t done

Do not be afraid my son,

Your mom and dad are here.

Do not be afraid my son

You’ll no longer live in fear

Do not be afraid my son

A better place you rest

Do not be afraid my son

An angel you have become.

Unbreakable Hero

Your spirits are always glowing,

that famous smile you never stop showing,

you have a will that cant be measured,

only one that can truly be treasured,

you live your life everyday,

never knowing whats coming along the way,

i know everytime i see your face,

my mind begins to race,

wondering how with what your going through,

not showing it even effects you,

yes there are hero's out there,

but to you they dont compare,

you are a person who is truly unbreakable,

for that we are all greatfull,

you are the one who i admire greatly,

no others come close as of lately,

to me you will never be a zero,

because you will always be my unbreakable hero     Thank you Shawn for those terrific poems.  We all miss Matt very, very much!

Myles is One Month old!

Myles saw the Doctor for his one month check up.  Myles is now 10 lbs and 8 oz.  He grew half an inch.  He is now 21 inches long.  He is doing GREAT!

Myles looks a lot like his father.  Here is a baby picture of Myles & Matt.

Myles 3 weeks old

               Matt at 4 days old.

I think there are a lot of similarities. Myles has been such a good baby for Casey.  He sleeps
6 hours at a time and wakes up and eats some and sleeps for another 3 hours.

I had a dream that seemed so real.  I dreamt that Myles was fussing and was hungry.  I saw Matt
scoop him up and rock him and get him back to sleep so Casey would not wake up.  I truly believe
that Matt is there helping Casey!!

Myles also has a new cousin.  Christine was able to stand up in her sister, Jenny's wedding.  She made
it through the cemeroy but by the time she got to the hall for the dinner she was having lots of pain.  Chad
her husband took her to Madison where her doctor was.  Christine had the baby the next early morning.

Here is a picture of Myles and Zane Matthew his newest cousin.

Myles is 17 days older than Zane.

Here is a picture of the Mom's with their babies!

We thank God every day for this Miracle baby! Matt would be so proud of Casey and Myles!!!

Myles is here!

Myles decided to come a week early!  Myles was born on August 16, 2012 at 12:56 am.  He is
8lbs 1.4oz and he is 20.5 inches long.  He has been a great little baby.  He hardly cries!  He cried
when he got his first bath though.

Casey went into labor around 4:00 pm on August 15.  Casey was great during the labor.  Myles decided to wait until 12:56 to be born.  I even got to cut the umbilical cord!!

Here is Myles Allen Krueger,

You can see some Matt and Casey in him!  What a blessings for the families!  A healthy baby boy!!
Thank you God for this Mircacle!!

Honorary caregivers named for Relay For Life

Honorary Caregivers Named for Relay for Life.

This is something Matt okayed back in Feburary.  He was being honored and so was Casey for her Caregiving.  The Relay for Life team still wanted to honor Matt this August 3, 2012.  Since Matt is not with us Casey wil have to do the speech and if Myles decideds to make an early appearance then I will have to do the speech.  If I am unable to make it through it then Jenyy will help us out.  Here is a copy of the news paper article.

Watertown Daily Times Article for Relay for Life:

"My son was a good hugger. I miss his hugs,” Kitty Krueger said as she remembered her son’s life.

Kitty, along with her daughter-in-law Casey Krueger are this year’s honorary caregivers for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

The 18th annual relay in Watertown will be held from 4 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday, Aug. 4 on the track at Watertown High School. The Kruegers will be the speakers at the survivor ceremony set for 7 p.m. Friday.

In February, last year’s honorary chairwoman Megan Schwefel had asked Matt Krueger to serve as this year’s honorary chairman of the event. Schwefel knew Matt through his work with his father-in-law’s snow plowing business.

“The original plan was that Matt was going to be there and I was going to be the honorary caregiver,” Casey, Matt’s widow said.

Matt, who passed away in April, is still being considered the honorary survivor, while his wife and mother will be the honorary caregivers.

Casey and Matt were high school sweethearts. In high school, they were named the cutest couple for their graduating class in 2007.

“We started dating the summer after our junior year,” Casey said.

During the fall of 2008, Matt started getting sick, suffering from nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. At first he thought he had food poisoning. His condition worsened and it began to worry Kitty and Casey. Kitty finally asked Casey to tell him to go to the doctor. “He would not go to the hospital,” his mother said.

“I had a fit and said go now,” Casey said.

When Matt finally gave in to the pressure from his mother and at the time his girlfriend, the news was not good. His colon was blocked.

At first, doctors wanted to do a CAT scan, but ironically Matt refused because he had heard it could cause cancer, his mother said.

Matt, at the age of 19, underwent exploratory surgery on Oct. 23, 2008. Doctors found his abdomen was full of cancer, Kitty said. He was diagnosed with stage four mucinous adenocarcinoma, a rare form of cancer.

The cancer is usually found in women and in people who are in their 50’s. The cancer sits on the surface of organs and produces mucous. For Matt to have the cancer, was about a one in a million chance.

Kitty said when she first heard the diagnosis she asked the doctor if her son would live to be 29 years old. The doctor did not know. “I asked if he would live to be 21,” she said. Again, the doctor could not predict. Kitty said that is when she lost it.

“Before I saw him I was told not to cry,” Casey said. When she saw him, he told her not to worry. He told Casey he was going to marry her and build her a house.

“Nothing got him down,” Kitty said of her son. “He was always smiling.”

Matt continued with his life and proposed to Casey on Oct. 30, 2008. He put a banner on the side of a dump truck asking her to marry him. Despite his recent surgery, he got down on one knee to propose, she said.

In the following February, Matt went to Washington, D.C. where a specialist performed surgery to remove the remaining cancer. Fifteen procedures were performed during the 12-hour surgery.

“Basically, they went in and flushed out the cancer,” his mother said. The surgery was to give him five more years to live. However, they were back in Washington, D.C. in 11 months.

“He was such a strong kid,” his mother said.

“Matt, you could not keep down,” Casey said.

Two years to the date of the proposal, the couple got married. They moved into the home Matt was building for his family.

Matt worked for Casey’s father, Jerry Hepp Excavating Inc. He loved his work, from concrete to digging holes. His family said his true passion was working.

Matt’s cancer led the couple and his family on a whirlwind of adventure.

Before his death on April 19, he had the opportunity to drive his prized 1999 Z28 Camaro on the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. and hear the heartbeat of his unborn son.

Both women recalled the excitement Matt displayed when he heard the heart beat. He recorded it on his cell phone and played it for everyone, Casey said. Matt died eight days after learning Casey was pregnant with their son.

The two picked out the name Myles Allen for the infant, who is due on Aug. 23.

Casey said if the baby is born early, Kitty will have to give the speech alone at the ceremony. Casey said she will have no problem writing the speech. A short video of Matt will also be played during the ceremony.

Matt recorded his story for the Watertown Regional Medical Center, where Kitty is a clinical assistant.

As caregivers, both wife and mother said Matt was an easy patient. “He never let Casey or I know how much he was in pain,” Kitty said.

Casey said he was always anxious to get out of the hospital. He would be sassy to the nurses, she added. “He was easy to deal with.

“Matt’s attitude was I am going to be fine,” she said. “It will all work out.”

Kitty said her son told her he had no regrets. He told her, “It is God’s plan and I am not scared.

“He did not want to worry us,” Kitty said. “He was such a happy go lucky, caring person.”

He would have been very proud.

Love you Matt!

Little I knew that morning. God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in  death we do the same.  It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of me went with you. The day God called you home.  You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.  Our  family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Matt's Obituary

The Lord gave us Matthew Allen Krueger on April 24, 1989, and He took him home April 19, 2012. Matt was a charming, loving, and inspirational human being. He touched the lives of everyone he met through school, work, and play. Matt attended grade school at St. Paul’s in Ixonia. He was involved in 4H for 10 years, Ixonia Victory. He attended Watertown High School where he was a three sport athlete participating in soccer, basketball, and tennis. He was involved with the Peer Helpers club. Matt and Casey were named cutest couple for their graduating class in 2007. Matt did fine in school, but his true passion was working. Directly following his 18th birthday Matt took a job with Jerry Hepp Excavating Inc. He loved everything about working there. He got to do it all from mechanics to concrete, digging to driving and everything in-between. Most of all he enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow employees and future brother-in-law Ryan Hepp. Matt soaked up everything Ryan ever told him and he was proud. Often times Matt found himself getting involved in volunteer efforts for the local community including the Marine Corps League Aero Park, Watertown Elks Lodge, Post Office food drive and Chickens for several years.

Matt’s battle with cancer started in October of 2008. He was diagnosed with stage 4 mucinous adenocarcinoma. Matt was not fazed by his diagnosis simply stated he had more he wanted to do yet. Matt immediately started checking things off his list. He proposed to Casey (Hepp) Krueger the following week October 30, 2008. Since then, Matt’s cancer has led them and their families on a whirlwind adventure. The road was never easy, but it was filled with some wonderful people and experiences they will never forget. Matt went through chemotherapy, none of which seemed to slow down his cancer, or him for that matter. Matt’s had four surgeries two of which were done by a specialist in Washington DC. He has had a number of other procedures done to help comfort and maintain. Through all of these horrible things, the smile never left Matt’s face. He had a certain quality about him words cannot describe. Anyone who crossed paths with Matt was inspired by his heart and faith, they couldn’t help but get involved. Matt’s passions and loves were his wife, his family and friends, his faith, and his ’99 Z28 Camaro. The camaro brought many wonderful experiences to matt including taking it around the track at Lowes Motor Speedway in North Carolina and being featured in the Camaro Performers magazine.

Matt’s held on as long as he could. More life threatening concerns came up minutes following the doctor’s appointment where Matt and his wife Casey learned they were having a baby boy. Matt held on for eight more days. He died in his home with his mother and wife holding his hands and family and friends surrounding him. As his weak, decrepit body took its last heaping breathe, they knew he found peace.
(This will be printed in the local newspaper Watertown Daily Times, Watertown, WI)

Rest In Peace Matthew Allen Krueger

Matt passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, April 19 with family by his side.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-5:00 pm at Hafemeister's Funeral Home, 611 E. Main St. Watertown, WI.  The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 23 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia with Rev. Kenneth Ewerdt officiating with visitation an hour before. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Ixonia.  Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Matt was an amaing son, brother, husband and now father.
God's Blessings.

God looked around His garden

and He found an empty place.

He then looked down upon this

Earth, and saw your tired face.

So He put His arms around you

and whispered,

“Come with me.”

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

With tearful eyes we watched you

suffer and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

It broke our hearts to lose you but

you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you

the day God called you home.

News

Matt would like to wish everyone a Blessed Easter!!

Matt & Casey would also like to tell everyone their great news!     Matt and Casey are expecting a baby Boy on August 23, 2012!!  They are so excited.! Casey had her 20 week ultrasound and the baby is doing great!

Matt has  been busy going to the chiropractor for his neck and back.  Dr. Jeff makes the pain in his back and neck feel much better every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Then we would   go to Johnson Creek to the Edema Doctor for the water in his legs.  The wraps seem to make his legs feel good but made his ankles hurt. After three weeks of going to the Edema Doctor Matt decided that the wraps did as much as they can and now it was time to switch to different pressure stockings to keep the water out of his legs.

Matt, when needed uses his oxygen for extra help.  Matt's  nose seems to be stuffed due to mucus draining into his nose from some allergies he has.
The oxygen helps him.  He doesn't need it all the time.

Thank you for all your continued thoughts and prayers!

Changes

Matt would like to wish everyone Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Matt heard from the Urologist. Matt and the doctor had decided there was nothing he could do.

We were referred to Rainbow Hospice to the Edema Center in Johnson Creek.  Matt saw Doctor Goldmen.  He did a battery of test and Matt passed them.  Starting Monday Matt will be getting his legs wrapped.  They feel they can help with the swelling.  He will get a half hour massage and then it will take 15 minutes to wrap each leg.  He will go back on Wednesday and have the wraps taken off and go through the routine again.  They will massage his legs for a half hour and then wrap his legs again.

He is going to do this every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as long as they feel it is working.  When it gets to a point that there is no change then he will wear pressure stocks.  The Doctor feels this will help with the swelling and relieve some of the pain in his legs.

Matt has also  been going to a chiropractor three times a week.  He has been working on his neck, shoulders and lower back.  Matt says it has been helping to relieve the knots he has.

With all this nice weather Matt has been having the itch to get his car out!  Matt and Casey have been getting out in this nice weather.  They have been going for walks. Casey managed to walk with Matt around the block in his chair without letting him fly down the hill.  Matt has been having some great Days!

Thank you to everyone for all your continued thoughts and prayers!

Test

Matt saw the urologist on Friday about some of his swelling.  The doctor wants him to have an ultrasound done on Monday.  We will not get the results back until Wednesday afternoon.  Hopefully they will find out that the doctor might be able to help him to reduce some of the swelling.

Matt's swelling continues.  Matt did get rid of the thrush he had in his mouth.  That was very
hard for him.  It hurt to eat just about anything.  Matt got some medication for it and and it
finally seems to be going away and Matt is starting to eat again.  He is trying to drink as much
as he can also.   Matt has continued pain in his pelvic region, lower back and some times in
his shoulder.  He says it is hard to get out of bed but once he is out he feels better.

Thank you to everyone for all your prayers!!  I will keep you updated on the test results.

Happy Valentin's Day!

Matt would like to thank all his friends and family for all their thoughts and Prayers!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Matt still has a little bit of a cough.  He saw Dr. Eastman yesterday and they gave him some ideas of what he could do to get rid of it. Matt's swelling continues to get a little worse each day.  He tries to
stay off his feet when he can.  You know Matt there is to much to do and he has to go, go and go to get
it all done.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Matt keeps on going!

I just can't believe what a strong young man Matt is.  Every morning he has the drive to get up and keep going.  He keeps saying there is so much to do!

Matt's legs continue to swell.  He is weighing about 122 pounds.  Probably lots of it is water weight.  Lately he has been only able to wear boots or his flip flops.  His shoes are a little tight. Matt is eating very good.  He has a pop tart or two every morning.  He eats a good meal at lunch.  His portion size isn't like it used to be but he still eats a generous portion.  Then he has a good supper! Matt has been coughing a lot more.  Possible could be due to the tumors in his lungs are growing and taking up  some of  the space or a possible cold due to his nose is stuffed.  When he gets up to fast from sitting, sometimes everything goes white for a few seconds.  Then he has to stopped and wait for everything to focus and then he goes.  Matt just needs to slow down.  Matt is trying to do to much and pushing himself to hard.

Matt is furiously working on his coupons.  Anyone knows of a good site on the computer for Matt to print coupons let us know!!  Matt gets upset when he goes to the store and the "dumb" computer,  doesn't  give him his sale price then he has to spend his time at the front desk to get his money back.  We have learned to really watch when the cashier is ringing up the groceries.  The sale  price doesn't always pop up on his receipt and he doesn't get his sale price.

Matt still continues on.  He still has things he wants to get done and is working towards them.

"Jesus has you in his hands and holds you with a grip of grace that will not slip and with an arm of strength that will not fail.  Jesus spake unto them, saying,("Be of good cheer, it is I; be not afraid")".
(Matthew 14:27)

Busy, Busy

Matt has been busy trying to get organized.  He is catching up on a lot of things he had wanted to do but was to busy to do it.  Matt has been organizing his garage, closet and his kitchen.  We have been making food and freezing some so Matt & Casey have some meals to eat on their busy days.  Matt has been keeping me very busy!

Matt has been wearing his pressure stockings a few times.   He says they are to tight.  I explained how they work and are supposed to be tight.  Matt does have a few sores on his feet that make the stocking hurt.  Due to his feet swelling he knows the stocks are a good thing.  There are days that Matt's feet up to his knees are swelled.  When they are so swelled it hurts him to walk.  Matt does some things and then  he tries to keep his feet up and rest.  He is not to go about behaving!

This past weekend he had a Christmas party and baptism.  This kept him very busy this weekend.  Matt is trying to save money by clipping coupons.  He has been going through the papers and ads looking for great coupons.  Today it was double coupons at Pick N Save.  I have been learning a lot
from Matt and his coupons and why we should keep lists!!

"Some things just aren't in our hands. It's tempting to try taking charge and try making things right, but we know they're best left to God!"

Thank you to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.

Things are going

They last few weeks we have been working at trying to fatten Matt up.  He has gained 5 pounds!!  Matt is working hard at trying to eat better foods!!

This last week we visited Dr. Eastman about the swelling in his legs.  His feet up to his knees get swollen.  Matt tries to keep his feet up when he is sitting.  That seems to be helping some.  Dr. Eastman said he should get the pressure stockings to help with the swelling and the pain when Matt walks.  The socks seem to help some too.

We thought things have been going good with his Nephrostomy tube.  Last night it seemed clogged so Matt tried to flush it himself.  He thought things were working but this morning the bag was not full like it normally is.  When this happens Matt gets pain in his abdomen from the back up of urine. I tried to flush it but nothing was working so we called Maria from Rainbow Hospice.  Of course while she was en route to Matt's house I figured out the extension that I need to use to help flush was not working.  It was a faulty piece of equipment.  I change that piece of equipment and tried the flushing again and it worked!!  So when Maria got there she changed the dressing on Matt's back.  That had not been changed for awhile.  Matt and I were getting a little nervous when we could not get the Nephrostomy tube flowing!  Luckily it started working and we went on with our day.

Matt is busily making lists.  He is getting everything off his mind and down on paper.  We are accomplishing a lot of things he wants to get done.  I need to take note myself.  The making a list looks a great idea.  I need to start one myself!

I believe in mind over matter.. I believe in the human spirit to prevail... I believe in miracles and blessings, both great and small...I believe in possibilities...I believe that hurdles in life are meant to be jumped over, not as something to stop us...I believe in God.... I believe in Matt!!!

Thank you for all your continued thoughts and prayers!

Great Weekend

Friday night Matt's Uncle Andy got together a family poker party.  They started out with 12 players at two different tables.  When the first two were out they combined to one table.  One by one they started dropping out until they got down to the last three.

The last three that made it into the championship round with Matt, Nate and Cousin Eric.  They played many rounds and it finally ended up; Matt, 3rd place, Eric, 2nd place and Nate, 1st place!

Here are a few pictures.

This table was: Brian, Chad, Eric, Nate, Mike (Jenny's), Mike (Becky's)

Uncle Chris, Uncle Mike, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Andy, Matt and Grandpa Tony

Matt got 3rd place, Cousin Eric got 2nd place, and Nate got 1st place.

Everyone had a great time playing poker!  Lots of good talk and lots of food.  Cousin Eric slept over and Matt, Nate and cousin Eric stayed up talking.  It was a good night.

On Sunday Matt and the family went to Cousin Emily's baptism.  Again way to much food but had a great time!

Matt has been feeling okay.  He has had fluid built up in his legs and abdomen. Matt said that if he keeps his legs up the swelling seems to go down.  Yesterday we went to Johnson Creek to see Dr. Eastman.  Matt explained about the swelling in his legs and abdomen.  It seems like it comes and goes.

The doctor said that Matt could try pressure socks.  This might help with the swelling his legs.  When his legs are swell it hurts to walk.  The doctor thought these socks might help.  Matt's bag continues to have problems once in awhile.  Maria showed me how to clean Matt's tube and bag.  When it gets clogged up it take it apart and flush his bag and tube.  After I do that it seems to start working again.

Today Matt had a visitor from a friend from Watertown High School.  She was the person in charge of Peer helpers when Matt was in school.  She found some pictures and wanted to show them to Matt and reminisces about the past.  Matt, Nate and Tammy had a good visit.

Thank you to everyone for ALL your continued thoughts and prayers for Matt and Casey and his family!

Matt smilng at his beautiful camaro

Matt was pacing Monday morning.  He couldn't wait to pick up his camaro.  They called in the afternoon to let Matt know the car was ready.  Matt, Casey, Keith, Ryan, Jen,  Nate and I went up to West Bend to pick up Matt's camaro. Matt was so excited Monday and nervous at the same time.  They had a surprise for him and he had no clue what that could be.  We headed up to West Bend around 3:40.  We got up there a few minutes after 5:00.  All the guys that worked on Matt's car were hanging around to see Matt.

Matt walked in and couldn't believe how nice his car looked.  The had cleaned it from the inside out!
It looked absolutely beautiful.

Matt's shinning new Camaro!

Matt saw his car and couldn't believe how nice it looked.  They opened the hood and Matt saw all
the new parts he had purchased inside of his car! Matt had Wegner Cnc porrted 243 head, cop cam, push rods, sip ail pump and timing chain, Spec clutch, poly motor mounts and Pace Setter long tubes with off road y pipe.  Then Brad from West Bend Dyno called Casey Wegner from Wegner Motorsports a call and Casey gave Dyno a great deal on a set of personalized custom  cnc'd billet valve covers.

These covers say, Krueger Z camaro.

Matt couldn't believe his eyes.  They had took his engine out cleaned it up, added all his new parts and they took a lot of pictures.  Brad from West Bend Dyno  helped Matt a few years back with his truck and when he came back in this year asking if he could install the parts he had purchased for his Camaro Brad was shocked on how skinny and yellow Matt looked.  He said he had a hard time to keep tears back.  He was happy to install these parts for Matt.  He also knew someone who writes for a magazine.  They found out about Matt's story and wanted to put him in their magazine.  Matt's story will be in Camaro Performance Magazine in two months.  It is a quarterly magazine.

Here are a few more pictures of Matt's car.

Under Matt's camaro hood.  These means alot to all guys but to most Mom's it is just an engine.

Here is Matt, Brad, Brian and Mac from West Bend Dyno  some of the guys that worked on Matt.s car.

Here is Matt getting into his Camaro for the first time!  He had such a huge smile on his face!

Here are some of us that went up with Matt,  Uncle Keith, Casey, Matt, Nate, Myself (Kitty) and Ryan.

Here is what that new customize cover in Matt's car looks like.

This is a link to a youtube the guys took of Matt's car while they were working on it.

Matt was on cloud nine!  Matt drove the car as far as Slinger on the way home with Uncle Keith in the car.  We stopped for a bite to eat and then Matt let Ryan drive with Matt in  the driver seat.  Matt had a
destination at a gas station to stop again.  This time Uncle Keith and Matt drove the rest of the way home and around Watertown that night.  Matt had a couple of friends that came over to see his car.

The next morning Matt tried to sleep in some.  We got up and had lunch with Lyle from J & L tire.  Matt wanted to show off his car.  After lunch we stopped in at Johnson Creek Cancer Center.  Matt parked in the way back.  He pulled up to the back doors of the building and reved it up!  The nurses and even Dr. Eastman was wondering what that noise was.  They all came out into the hallway and could see Matt in his car, SMILING!  Matt came in and explained all the new parts he had gotten installed on his car.  After that we went to Rob's Honda so he could show a friend his car. Then we had to go to Bumper to Bumper in Watertown to show off Matt's car  again.  By this time Matt was getting tired.  We headed home.

Matt tried to sleep but did not have a good night.  Matt noticed his tube to his bag that is on his right kidney was not filling up.  Then earlier in the morning Matt developed abdominal pains.  When I got
there in the morning Matt told me how he was feeling and about his bag.  He had gotten up a number times in the middle of the night to go to the rest room and there was nothing in his bag to empty.  I called Maria from Rainbow Hospice and she came right over.  Matt was not feeling well and couldn't get out of bed.  Maria flushed his bag and then tried to flush the tube entering Matt's back.  It was definitely blocked.  Maria worked at it for awhile and seemed to get it draining again.

Maria left at 10:00 and Matt felt better by lunch.  Matt got up and ate some lunch.  He lounge around for awhile.  Matt again told me his bag was not filling up.  Maria happened to call just as we were talking about it.  This was at 4:00.  Matt told Maria there was nothing draining in his bag again. Matt asked Maria to come out at 6:00.  At this time Matt was feeling okay. Maria came at 6:00 and flushed his bag again.  Then she worked at trying to flush the tube in Matt's back. It took a little while but all of a sudden it started to drain again.  Matt was on pins and needles all day watching his bag.  He regularly empties his bag every two to three hours.  He went from 10:00 to 6:00 without having to empty his bag and this made all of us very nervous.

I went home and Matt and Casey could enjoy the rest of the night.  This morning Matt and his brother Nate are still sleeping.  I have a feeling they stayed up to late last night.  I found a list of things Matt had written down that he would like help doing today.

Thank you to everyone for all your continued prayers!
