Pathology Results

We found out that Matt has Mucinous Adenocarcinoma. It is a very rare cancer especially in young people. It has been there a while and is stage 4 cancer. It is not aggressive in any way and they think it originated in the colon but are unsure. This cancer is a reoccuring cancer and will be continually coming back, whether it is 2 years or 25 years down the road. The surgeon said that she took out about 98% of it now but recommended Dr. Eastman in Johnson Creek for further information. Our next step is to figure what doctor we are going to go to, where we are going to go, and how we are going to handle this. The surgeon said that the next surgery is more focused and we should find a doctor that is experienced with this type of cancer. The next doctor visit is outpatient services. She gaves us names of doctors with experience from Texas, North Carolina, and New York. If you know of any doctors with this type of cancer experience, please let us know. We would like to find the best we can for Matt. Keep Matt in your prayers. He is young and a very strong man. He is in great spirits and is going to fight this. He will never give up and neither should any of us. It is God's hands and let God's will be done. He has a plan for Matt and everything will be alright.

You said that you need help finding a doctor for Matt. Well I am not really sure if they have a person who specializes in the type that Matt has but, my grandma has had lukemia for the past 20 years and long with that many others have came out as well. She has always gone to the Marshfield Clinic in Eau Claire I that is quite a ways away but they ahve always helped her threw many things over the last 20 years. Maybe you can look into it and see if they have someone who can help Matt. My prayers are with him and the family. I will also go to visit my grandma and see if she can suggest anyone to see if they can help you. My God take care of him and the family.
