Jello!

Last night was a pretty good night. Matt and Casey stayed at the hospital when the rest of the clan went to stay at family friend, Bill's house. They had a cook-out and some delicious chocolate cake we're not telling Matt about. (It's his favorite)

Matt got more sleep last night than usual. Since he got his cathetor out yesterday he got up frequently through the night to go the bathroom. Matt and Casey also took a stroll around the floor around 12:30pm which enabled Matt to sleep for 4 hours straight!

When Matt finally decided to be up for the day he looked to his left to find a tray of food! (cranberry juice, soup, and jello) Matt only likes the jello out of those options so he already convinced the nurses to give him two jello's instead of the other stuff.

Please continue posting comments and keeping Matt in your prayers.

Good morning Kruegers! I had an opportunity to meet with Matt's uncle, grandma and grandpa this past Friday. They came in to the Moosehead Pub for dinner and a beer or two and it became very clear that despite the fact that I have never met Matt or his family, that they are truly the wonderful people that we've heard they are. I have emailed Kitty this morning to ask her to add the fact that reservations are required for the March 17th benefit for Matt. We have only been open for 3 weeks and because we don't serve breakfast or Irish food at our Pub, all of the food required for this event will be special ordered for this event only based on the number of reservations. We just don't have the extra cash right now to buy a lot of extra food for potential walk ins. If all the folks that read this post today could spread the word that reservations are required, that'd be great. Thanks!

Wow, real food. How exciting. We can't express how in awe we are with you and all that you have been through, and how well you are handling it all. Like I stated before, you are an inspiration to many people.
We thank GOD for bringing you this far and pray for a speedy full recovery.

Matt your in my prayers and I follow your progress weekly. I know how that NG tube feels as I had it done several times when i was going thru some tough times myself 2 years ago. It felt the best just to get that tube out and my spirits lifted right awaym nothing holds you back after that. I will continue to pray to St Rita (this is the Saint of hard cases that got me thru my times and will get you through yours)
