Nights are hard
Matt finds nights hard. He can not get comfortable with all the tubes coming out of his side. The NG tube he really hates. He is trying his darnest to talk to someone to take it out. We were explain to by Nurse Carol that first they will clamp it for a few hours. If Matt handles that then they will clamp it for a day. If he deals with that then the clamp stays on for one more day and then it would come out. Matt did not want to hear it. He does understand that it is important but he still does not like the NG tube in his nose. If he doesn't have it all the bile he would throw up and possibly break some stitiches on his incision or possible break some internal stitches. I told him he does not want that to happen. Then it would have to get fix and start all over with the NG tube. Waiting for a nurse to get him up to walk and sit in a chair this morning. It is really snowing here in Washington DC. Watching the news and all school and business are closed because they expect 3-4 inches of snow.

Congrats on your BM. You succeeded on your goal for the day. Hopefully the nights will get better as the tubes get removed. Luckily we're not coming there today with all that snow. See you Friday night!
There's just no stopping you Matt! Congratulations on all the bowel activity. That's incredible! We are all amazed with your progress thus far and continue to root for you and pray for you here in WI. Can't wait to have you back home!
Keep up the excellent progress!
Hey bud, glad to hear thing's are "moving"! Keep your chin up, those tube's will be gone before you know it. Cindy and I are amazed at your daily progress- you are so strong, and that smile is alway's on your face-LOVE IT! Hope you have a great day!
Well, that is a good sign that your annoyed, Matt. It shows that you still have spunk and are pushing to move ahead! I feel so bad that you still have the NG tube in, I know from seeing patients with them that they don't really have much give in them and are pretty rigid. I hope that when they remove it from suction that you are able to hold your own! Just a couple more days until you get a bunch of visitors. I bet you are looking forward to that. Stay spunky Matt your in our prayers! Jacob wants to know about the tatts:)
3-4 inches shuts down the city of D.C.!!! Milwaukee is getting lake affect snow.....when it is all done today they estimate up to 15 inches could fall. Out here in Waukesha County...it is sunny and beautiful and not one flake around!! Glad to hear that things are progressing as should be. I hope you have a better night tonight! hopefully i'll see you on webcam today with Casey.
love Aunt Shelly
